- 59 cats were admitted
- 32 females were spayed
- 26 males were neutered
- 1 female was found to be previously spayed
- 1 male was cryptorchid.
Our clinic staff (all volunteers) included:
- 9 Veterinarians
- 12 Veterinary Technicians
- 14 Support Staff
Our clinics are a community effort with many individuals and organizations pitching in to help make life better for the feral cats in our neighborhoods and to prevent the birth of additional cats. The shelter staff at MSPCA Angell has made it possible for us to use their facilities. Commonwealth Cats and the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society continue to share surgery instruments (spay packs) which helps make us more efficient during the clinics. Commonwealth Cats is very fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers including veterinarians, veterinary technicians and other individuals who donate their time and expertise to care for the cats. We are grateful for monetary gifts to Commonwealth Cats, the lovely hand made wreath that was donated by Dr. Dominico to help us raise funds and the lunch goodies that were baked by Chris Beck to feed the volunteers during the clinic. Each of these contributions helps us to help the cats we all care about so deeply.
We are in the process of setting clinic dates for 2007. Thank you again to everyone who participated in this effort to help the animals in our communities. Have a wonderful holiday season.
