Clinic Review
April 3, 2005 Spay, Neuter and Vaccination Clinic
Commonwealth Cats held our third Spay, Neuter and Vaccination Clinic. We were fortunate to have many repeat volunteers as well some new folks who joined in to help care for the cats. Here is some information on what we accomplished:
- 47 cats were scheduled for admission.
- 28 cats were admitted.
- 28 cats were spayed or neutered.
- 18 of the cats were female.
- 10 were male.
The cats were scanned for a microchip (none were found), spayed or neutered,
vaccinated for Rabies and Feline Distempter and treated for fleas, ticks and ear-mites (when appropriate).
The trapping and transportation of the cats was coordinated by a number
of humane and cat rescue groups as well as individuals that care for
feral cats.
The Commonwealth Cats mission is to deliver humane sterilization and
vaccination services for the health and population control of feral cats
in Massachusetts.
